Tommy Lee, the drummer for Mötley Crüe, was booted out of Emeril Lagasse’s Delmonico Steakhouse in New Orleans after making a fuss because he was asked to remove his baseball cap, and then cursed at the waitress. Fans have of course come to his defense, but let’s face it: Mister Heavy Metal simply acted without class, was entitled and unnecessarily rude. The management was right to give him the boot.
It wasn’t hard to decide who to side with on this one. Tommy Lee, an aging heavy metal rocker who plays loud annoying music and puts superfluous umlauts in his band’s name for no reason, or Emeril Lagasse, who makes delicious steaks and serves them in an upscale environment? I’m going with Emeril on this.
Lee’s social media star wife Brittany Furlan doesn’t seem to get it either, and said in a video captured by TMZ, “We don’t want to be in some stuffy ass place where they’re like, ‘Take your hat off.’” Really, Brittany? You don’t want to be in a restaurant where you take off your hat? Enjoy the hot dog stands and McDonald’s, Brit, because that’s all you’re gonna get.
