Justin Bieber Spending $200,000 To Go To Space
We all know that Justin Bieber loves sports cars, but now the pop star is taking it up a notch and heading to space. Virgin founder and CEO Richard Branson tweeted to the world that Justin Bieber and his agent Scooter Braun have signed up for one of Virgin’s spaceflights.
“Great to hear @justinbieber & @scooterbraun are latest @virgingalactic future astronauts,” Branson tweeted. “Congrats, see you up there!”
The 19-year-old singer retweeted Branson’s message and added, “@richardbranson @scooterbraun @virgingalactic let’s shoot a music video in SPACE!! #nextLEVEL”
Seats on the Virgin Galactic SpaceShipTwo rocket cost $200,000, and the first flight is expected to happen this winter from New Mexico. The ship will carry six passengers and two pilots and will soar to an altitude of 360,000 feet above the earth. The trip into space and back will last just under three hours, and passengers must first go through three days of training.
According to Virgin Galactic, 65,000 people have already put their names down on the waiting list for seats on the flights and celebrities who have reportedly bought seats include Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, scientist Stephen Hawking, and Ashton Kutcher.
