INDULGE: Soothe sore muscles at the The Teton Village Spa, which is located inside the swanky Four Seasons. The giant 11,685-square-foot facility caters to professional athletes and novice skiers alike with a smattering of seasonal treatment options. Our favorite: the "peak performance" recovery massage, which is customized to address post-ski muscle soreness and incorporates willow bark to increase flexibility. INDULGE: The Chill Spa inside the Hotel Terra is a warm retreat from the the icy Jackson Hole slopes. Treatments change with the seasons, but for weary winter adventurers nothing hits the spot quite like the "refresh herbal poultice," which uses inflammation-reducing turmeric, lemongrass, and kaffir lime to restore muscles to ship-shape condition. Ask any Wyoming native, and they’ll tell you the best skiing in the world isn’t in France or the Swiss Alps, but right here in the Unites States.
With its inky black mountain ranges—the result of large deposits of black diamonds—and an average snowfall 60 to 80 inches higher than nearby ski destinations in Colorado and Utah, it’s no surprise that Jackson Hole is the ski town of choice for serious athletes and bunny-slope dwellers alike.
But aside from first-class skiing, its luxe accommodations and burgeoning restaurant scene make Jackson Hole a seductive choice for any discerning traveler. Four Seasons guests can indulge in poolside s’mores, while those seeking a more “local” vibe may choose to warm up with the “Whatchu Talkin’ Bout Willet”— the Handle Bar’s signature confection of Willet bourbon, coffee, and peanut butter (served, appropriately, in a moose-shaped mug).
Here, we’ve rounded up the best places to eat, drink, sleep and indulge during your Jackson Hole ski trip.

Um, here’s the real deal: Terra yes, Four Seasons no. Wyoming Whiskey’s distillery is 5 hours away. Like visiting the Golden Gate Bridge while in L.A. Best JH dining and shopping is in town, not village, except for Spur at Teton Mountain Lodge. In town, Trio, Local, Cowboy Steakhouse are all winners. Spring Creek Ranch is great rustic retreat.
I absolutely love this town. In fact, when my husband and I only had a few days vacation for a quick honeymoon, we chose to visit the Four Seasons Jackson Hole. One spot that I would add is The Bunnery – not glamorous per se, but it offers the best breakfasts! Be sure to go early or you will surely face a wait. Yum!
So glad you love Jackson Hole as much as we do…Next time you are in Jackson make sure to stop by our lovely shop Habits. http://www.habitsjh.com
